Party With a Plan- College Edition
Finally, here is a proven, practical way to drink alcohol and be successful. Up until now, there have been two primary messages when it comes to drinking alcohol. One is "just say no," which for most people is not an option. The only other message out there is to "drink responsibly." But what does that mean? If you ask five random people to define responsible drinking, you will most likely get five completely different answers. This invalidates the term because it can be defined in so many different ways. Party with a Plan gives a concrete and concise way to drink and lower your risk for negative consequences. This book is long overdue!
This edition is specifically for those in college or planning to go to college*. There's also a section for parents that addresses how to talk to your young adult about alcohol and other drugs before they go to college.
*We recognize that many people in the US going to college are under the legal drinking age. According to the low-risk guidelines, zero drinks is the guideline for those under 21. However, we also know that many students under 21 do drink and if that's their choice it is better to give them realistic and practical information, similar to someone under 16 driving without a license. It is highly discouraged and illegal, but if they do drive, it's better for them to know how to drive safely.
